I have had two Thalium Stress Tests within the last 5 years,

Customer Question

I have had two Thalium Stress Tests within the last 5 years, and both of them revealed no blockage of arteries. Last week I had a Calcium Score test, and the score was 234. I am asymptomatic for heart disease. My internist now wants me to have another stress test, although just a regular test followed by an echocardiogram. Is it possible that I could have this score and still have no blockage? And, how reliable and accurate is the Calcium Score Test, in general?

Yes, it is possible

You could have collateral circulation.

many times our bodies will grow arteries around blockages

So it really means nothing.

if you have no symptoms, I see no reason for a stress test

in fact, all the thallium tests are a lot of radiation
