The airbag warning is shown when a fault is detected within the system and it means that the system is turned off and is no longer active. So all the time the warning is that if you were to be involved in an accident the airbags would not fire. You will need to get the car connected to a diagnostic scan tool to trace what the system is unhappy with. It could be related to the battery change and the system just requires resetting
