    Hi Tim, you helped me in the past with my ‘97 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup with the 3.9. I’m in the process of replacing the intake oil pan gasket. I have 2 other questions. The first one is, why is there 3 temp sensors mounted in the intake manifold? Second question since I had done work on the distributor and now that the intake manifold is off I want to make sure the distributor is in the correct base location. Is there a mark on the block or distributor base? Do I need to align the number one cylinder with the rotor?

    Changed throttle body on 2017 Sierra and now getting U1510 code. Did that cause the code to appear?
    JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact code? And have you tried to reset it?
    Customer: U 1510 reset and light comes right back on.
    JA: What is the model of your '17 GMC?
    Customer: 1500 SLt
    JA: Are you fixing your GMC 1500 yourself? What have you tried so far?
    Customer: no. Had a shop put new throttle body on because it had a P2101 code. Picked up the truck and check engine light came on before I could get home. Did a scan and got the U1510 code. Did changing throttle body cause the new code?
    JA: Is there anything else the Mechanic should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.

    Just Replaced both batteries 2 months ago
    Replaced alternator 2 weeks ago
    Had tensioner pulley break which broke the belt and broke the wire harness of the fan clutch. I just repaired the pulley, belt and by help with another mechanic on this site rewired the fan clutch direct to bypass the 6pin plug due to parts not available.
    Test drive today for about an hour no check engine lights or over heating. Cleared codes yesterday and disconnected batteries over night.
    Cycled key 3 times and 3 codes come up on the dash.
    P0483
    P0712
    P0480
    The other tech said he couldn't address the codes only help with the rewiring.
    Truck ran ok but I don't know how to tell if all is working correctly or not.
