I have a 2016 Triton with 216000 kms, always serviced with Mitsubishi. Before last service the engine light came on, not constantly. I have had it on the computer at my dealers and no problem comes up. Since the last service about 5000km ago I have had no trouble at all and have even towed a caravan for 2000kms. There doesn’ t appear to be any problem with the running of the ute. Could there be a faulty sensor causing the light to come on. Most of the vehicles mileage has been highway running not town work
JA: Is the check engine light blinking or flashing, or is it solid? When did you first notice it?
Customer: Solid, comes up some days then might go a few days without coming on
JA: How often is the Caravan typically serviced?
Customer: caravan serviced annually last aboutMay

Customer: Last trip in van was January before the light started coming on about start of May

DTC P0089 probably same as ECM-2900
can i get more info on DTC P0089 fuel pressure regulator performance, how is is set, test etc.
I just erased it and test drove vehicle for 5 miles and didn't come back2008 s60 had fuel pump actuator test where i could command duty cycle of the pump and compare actual versus desired psi, also live data had these pids available for checking too,
interesting that on 2012 no helpful fuel pump related pids and no fuel pump test.

Was driving down the highway heard some banging noises my fuel economy went down trans shift find when I stopped to go into a parking spot feels like the brakes are going on but it's more like a transmission problem
JA: When did the banging noise first start? Have you noticed any fluid leaking?
Customer: I had a bad pump I just replace the power steering pump but that might have been causing problems but everything working fine except for when I try to move slowly and there's a growling noise in the front end

Customer: 2004 g m c Yukon SLT
