Customer Question
Can you see what...

Can you see what I typed a little while ago? I typed it for my husband and I can't remember it all! He'll be back in about 5 min... Thanks

Mechanic's Assistant: What year is your MINI?

I have a 2001 Jeep Gr Cherokee 4.7. We just put in a new pcu yesterday. We fired it up a little while ago and not running on all cylinders. Appears to be left bank. Getting spark. Unplugged and plugged injector wires, no change

Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked all the fuses? Do you have a wiring diagram?

No wiring diagram at the moment. It has to be firing on right bank

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your MINI yourself? What have you tried so far?

Plugged in obd2 and open circuit on inj #2

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

I don't think so. Thanks

Auto Mechanic: Dan, Technician replied 4 months ago

No problem, have you replaced the #2 injector? Thanks.

Ask Your Own Car Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
no, we just replaced the pcu. It now starts but apparently runs on right bank, nothing on left. Pulled plug and has compression
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
The code on obc says open circuit on #2 injector. Took vom reading and was fluctuating, not steady
Auto Mechanic: Dan, Technician replied 4 months ago

It should be fluctuation. At injector one wire has constant power and other wire pulsates ground off/on. You can check the pulsating ground with a test light. If it has good power and ground pulse then I'd recommend replacing that injector. Let me know how it goes or if you have more questions, you can reply to this answer at any time without additional fees. Thanks.
