Hey battery died....

Hey battery died. Put in new battery. Instrument cluster is dark, Car will not turn over. Checked all fuses and they are fine. Tried resetting by disconnecting negative cable but no use. Car has been sitting with battery maintenance but battery dies.

New battery.

Instrument panel is dark. I connected diagnostic CarMD to it like many times before but it cannot read computer.

it has. I opened and closed doors with key, put key in ignition, turned it to the on position and nothing seems to reset it.

there is one other way to reset. disconnect battery terminals and hold cable ends together for 10-15 min, this drains any residual power in the ECU reconnect to battery, go inside and with foot off the brake pedal cycle the key button on and off 5 times within 5 seconds then foot on brake pedal and try to start. If that does not work then it has to be done with a shop scanner.
