Could a fouled spark plug be the reason why i see a

Could a fouled spark plug be the reason why i see a yellow/orange spark when testing it by grounding it to the engine casing ?
When i perform the same test with a piece of metal into the spark plug boot + grounding it, i see a white/blue spark.

hello, fouling or high internal resistance in the plug from an internally cracked electrode can cause this.
