Customer Question

2002 Montero 3.5L V6 has codes for TPS and MAP.... When I check, neither has any voltage... Do they have a common broken power wire, or is it likely at the ECM..?
JA: What confuses you?
Customer: Trying to not buy the ECm...but not sure how to eliminate the possible wire problem that thay may sahre
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact code? And have you tried to reset it?
Customer: pO 122, PO107....hard set, will erase but come right back.
JA: Are you fixing your Montero yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: A shop replaced MAF and idle air....the car ran two weeks then will not idle at all. Has those codes now.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I think that is it. Thanks.

Click on link to see the Troubleshoot of the DTC P0107 & DTC P0122

after running the dtc steps and repair or replace then you clear fault codes ,and test drive and see what comes back if any , I think the dtc PO122 will clear after repairing dtc P0107, but testing is needed

Thanks. Will go thru the troubleshooting steps you attached.... I am owner, not mechanic. Now I know the two ends of the power wire, so I can check continuity, and output right at the source also.
