My a is not cooling right. I put on a new compressor and condensor last year and last week an expansion valve.It get real cold and then while driving it goes from 60 degrees to 80 . Had it flushed this morning and refilled and still the same problem
JA: Are you fixing your 80 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No my husband is a retired mechanic and he is doing the work on my ac
JA: Have you checked the Freon level?
Customer: yes.. using a gauge

220 high side and around 32 low side while after disconnecting gauges temp at 60 then after driving a few miles goes to 80

If the compressor is turning off it's due to an input. It will turn off if evaporator temperature falls too low, high side pressure climbs too high or if ambient temperature falls too low for instance. It sounds as if you may have more than one thing going on if the lowest temperature you get from the vent is 60 to start.

What is the ambient temperature at the time you're seeing 60 degrees from the vent?

This is with it set to full cold and recirculation on?
