JA: Have you tested the battery with a voltmeter? And can you see if it's leaking or not?
Customer: no
JA: What is the make/model of your car?
Customer: 2011 gmc truck
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes. cleared code 2135 had to jump start this morning.now seems to be overcharging. next step is to check alternator/

The only thing that can cause the battery to be charged to 15.5 volts will be the voltage regulator in the alternator is defective. Do not run the engine if the voltage output is that high. The computer, lights and other electrical modules can not take voltages that high. You need to remove the alternator have it tested and replaced.
