I have a 2008 Grand Vitara V6 3.2 and I am experiencing the ESP Service Required Lights coming on, it only happens at low speed and when the car is warm. I read in a forum that a faulty Transmission Range Sensor maybe the cause. I have just had the car serviced and they cleared the error messages though the fault has come back. They did not replace the TRS because they thought clearing the errors would fix the concern. What are your thoughts?
JA: Just to clarify, what are the exact lights you're talking about?
Customer: The instrumentation panel has ***** *****ghts flash up where the mileage etc is, and it says Service the ESP
JA: Are you fixing your Grand Vitara yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No, this is the only concern I am experiencing with the vehicle

Did the tell you which codes were there before they cleared them?

No they didn't tell me the codes, other than to say that they were related to ESP error message

Bring this to any auto parts store and they will usually scan for codes for free.

I also work for a Subaru/Suzuki dealer, we no long sell them but still service these vehicles.

You could have a faulty wheel speed sensor, or a control module problem. You will have a Cxxxx code in the system.
