Customer Question

Hello, I got my vehicle serviced last year at firestone. Got the fuel pump replaced died out Job cost about $3000. Anyway, I started my car last week and while I was driving the car stalled. I had the tower's bring the vehicle to Firestone. When firestone diagnosed the problem they told me I had a fuel pressure sensor problem and need to replace it. Now I told them I got it replaced and they said it was warrentied for a year blah, blah. However, I don't understand because their warrenty paperwork doesn't state anything about fuel pump being warrentied for a year in the service contract and they want to charge for labor and parts. what should I do? I was actually considering calling cooperate to see what they can do.
JA: Are you certain it's the fuel pressure sensor that's in need of attention? What about the fuel rail? Have you checked it yet?
Customer: We'll that's what they told me but I had everything done. I had to replace fuel pump system completely.
JA: What is the make/model/year of your car?
Customer: The make is 2005 Volvo XC90 V8
JA: Are you fixing your XC90 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No, I originally but my car to fix at the firestone where I got the whole fuel pump replaced last year.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Yes I need to know if I have a valid dispute

Firestones warranty is 12 month 12 K miles

if it has been past that then it is not covered

on the back of the receipt it should state this

calling Firestone cooperate will sometimes get you some good assistance for the repairs even though you are out of warranty

they will usually assist somehow to satisfy you as they advertise customer satisfaction is # 1 and usually stick by that with a phone call asking for assistance
