my ride won't start. I bought a new battery.
JA: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded?
Customer: I cleaned them off. the terminal connections.
JA: What is the make/model/year of your car?
Customer: 2002 isuzu axiom 2wd
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes i'd like to fix myself. try to start in neutral but didn't work. wiggle the keys that didn't work.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: i hear a click sound when i try to start it. by the inside fuse panel. and under the hood.. i also hear a click sound in that fuse panel.

Hello and thank you for your question,

Do you have a 12 volt test light and or a volt meter to check and see if your getting key on cranking power at the starter while the problem is occurring?

Okay before you do any thing else , start with checking to see if you are getting 12 volts at the stater with the key in the crank position on both the small start wire as well as the large battery cable wire and let me know what you find and we can work from there.
