Car not getting spark from coil packs
JA: What is the make/model/year of your car?
Customer: 2001 Hyundai sonata
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes pulled plug wite off put screw driver in end of wire and held next to neg post of battery no spark
JA: Have you tested the battery with a voltmeter? And can you see if it's leaking or not?
Customer: Car cranks over fine and is getting fuel but no spark
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?

The most common cause of a no spark, on a coil over plug designed engine, is the crank sensor.

Replace the crank sensor and you will have spark again.
