I'm putting in a new transmission for my truck and forgot to add a quart of transmmission Fluid in the new torqcoverter if I were to rehook. ever thing back up and put transmission fluid back up till it completely full. Will it hurt anything

Hi Anthony,

You should be ok.

Just make the fluid level a little higher than full on the stick prior to fire up.

Start checking the fluid level as soon as the engine is running.

Top up to the cold level, run through gears from Park to low, hold in each gear for a second or so, recheck level, should be just above cold.

Run engine to operating temp, trans should then be just under hot level, little roadtest, check level again, should be on hot level.

Recheck for oil leaks.

Roadtest again, check shift pattern, noises etc.
