Customer Question

I have plenty experience with several brands of diagnostic scantools
input-output, live data readings & stuff
I have used OE proprietary & snapon & generic as well
I have NEVER owned one!
I am thinking of a snapon Solus ultra & buying it used off of craigslist
My snapon man just wants to sell big ass toolboxes and overpriced wrenches so he has no advice usefull advice for me except that I need to buy from him!
There are tons of online forums & stuff with much discussion, but little useable info.
I really only have one QUESTION
If I buy a snapon Solus ultra that needs 5 years of updates..
Is it cheaper to buy 5 years updates or buy a yearly subscription
If I buy a subscription will it include all the old data I am missing or does it only go forward.

Hi, I’m Ron and I can help you.
I have been in this business since 1975 and also teach automotive repair. I am confident we can resolve your problem together. Please understand that I don't know your skill level. I can't see, smell, hear, or touch the vehicle either, so it may take a few replies to get to satisfactory results. Please be patient!
I also try to give all of the information you may need, expecting a “positive rating” in return. I will also continue assisting you after you have rated me, if necessary. If there is any reason I cannot get a positive rating, please let me know why “in advance”, so I can go another direction for you. I am sorry you’re having this problem; I’ll help you through it.

The subscription turns out to be cheaper in the long run, plus there is unlimited data for you to use too.

Thanks, Ron
