Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If you have a code for the driver's airbag squib circuit along with the cruise control not working the most likely cause would be the clockspring. The clockspring is in the steering column just under the wheel and is what makes electrical contact with the steering wheel yet allows it to turn. All electrical items on the steering wheel run through the clockspring and if circuits in the clockspring break then it can take down any combination of items on the steering wheel. If the cruise stopped working at exactly the same time the airbag light started then you most likely have a broken clockspring.
