i have a 1992 olds silohette 3.8. i replaced the cam sensor crank sensor timing chain and gears fuel pump. it has an oil leak at the front of the oil pan. what it is doing now is it will run great for 2 or 3 days and short out the oil sending unit fuel pump switch and gauge fuse . it blows the fuse as fast as you put bthem in for two or three days and then you can replace the fuse and drive for 2 or 3 more days . when this happens the van just dies i am out of ideas

my voltage is 13.8. i was curios to see if i could have some type of short in my oil sending unit or wires to the unit? i have to change oil pan gasket that is where the oil is leaking from the harmoic balance is is slinging the oil. it has covered the sending unit and the wires. also it took about an houyr to finally get the plug back into the sending unit.can oil be spraying on the wires and running into the top of the unit shorting it out? i ask this because if you let the van set for two or three days you can put in a new fuse and it will start back up and run for about 150 miles and then just die and the process starts all over again
