Customer Question

Hello, I own a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo I would like to know what could cause a thunking when it shifts gears. Itook it to a transmission shop where they drove it and did a diagnostic check. They also put it up on the rack and checked the transmission fluid. It was good and there were no codes. Of course it didn't thunk when drove it. And it doesn't do this all the time. What should I do next. Should I have the transmission serviced?

Welcome! My name is Gary and I will do my best to assist you with this problem.
will it be a particular gear it will thunk when up shifting into ?
will it do this on down shifts?
is it more of a very firm harsh shift or like something is loose or has excessive play in it ?
