I had to have my battery replaced 2 months ago. It was done at an Auto Parts store. I tried to drive out of the parking lot, but car didn't have any power and stalled. I started it again and the same thing happened. I was told the computer had to reset. When it's cold, I try to accelerate and it doesn't go anywhere. It has no power. If I push the pedal down to pass, it revs up to 5 rpms and stays there until I take my foot off the gas. HELP. My mechanic can't find the problem. She's replaced the catalytic converter without any success. HELP Please

It will help to know the make, model, year and finally engine size

Ok, do you know if she performed the idle and pcm relearn procedure?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I'm not sure. She's not a Toyota repair person. Are those procedures readily available for all?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I just called and yes it's been done. She isn't a toyota repair person, but has a friend that works in a Toyota shop and she took it down there and they are all scratching their heads...can't figure out the problem. The Idle and PCM procedure covers ALL of my problems that I'm having, but it didn't work. HELP!

Possible that the PCM is faulty. Ask her is her scan tool communicates with the PCM. If it doesnt, then its the PCM
