Cadillac Deville: Is there a way to disable the anti theft

This answer was rated:

Is there a way to disable the anti theft on a 1999 Cadillac deville? it is a no start and I want to make sure its the fuel pump and not the theft system.

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If the engine cranks with the key then you don't have a security issue. In addition to disabling the fuel system it also prevents the starter from engaging.

If the fuel pump isn't running then you can jump it at the relay to rule out the PCM and security as a cause. Remove the relay and make sure pin 30 has power. If ok, use a paperclip or short piece of wire and jump in 30 to 87 and this will power the fuel pump. If the pump does run then you do have a security, PCM, or pump relay control circuit wiring issue.

If the pump still does not run with the relay jumped then you'll need to check to make sure there is power at the pump with the relay jumped, make sure the ground is ok, replace the pump if all is ok.
