Dodge Truck 07.5 with 6.7L diesel: 07.5 6.7L 3500 dually 4X4

This answer was rated:

07.5 6.7L 3500 dually 4X4 purchased used at 56,000 miles. Installed bullydog tuner but only run in tow mode, don't run it hard at all, never have. Got U010C code a couple of times if I immediately start without allowing the tuner to initialize. Engine brake will work until engine gets up to temp(15 min maybe) after that it doesn't work. This just started 300 miles ago. Any ideas what is going on? Any help is appreciated.

this fault code is for lost communication with the turbo control module-- have you unhopoked the bullydog and roadtested to see if concern is still there?

I did uninstall tuner and issue continues. You can hear the sound when the key is turned like the module activates. The engine temperature issue is odd. Like I said the engine break will work for 7-8 miles or until a certain temp is met.

ok - at this point we need to have the trucks computer scanned and then the software updated in the trucks computer-- this NEEDS to be done by the dealer-- do not mention to them the bullydog programmer

if you mention bullydog -- they may blame everything on that and not be as helpful

Thanks Tim. I'll uninstall and schedule a visit with the dealer.

I uninstalled Bullydog tuner yesterday and drove truck to work. Same issue with electric brake only working until engine temp reaches 170 plus. I could restarted engine many times to see if the UO10C code would appear and it didn't. I have a dealer visit scheduled for tomorrow at noon but if there's anything else you feel I should check let me know.

Thanks in advance.

lets let them scan computers-- before we do anything else -- and odds are they are going to do a software flash update on the engine controller software --please let me know what happens -- thanks-Tim
