92 Isuzu: v6..passenger..I checked all the fuses and none were blown.

I have a 92 Isuzu p/u v6. My son was sitting in the truck on friday waiting and was messing w/ some bare stereo wires (there's no radio) he said he started driving home and he heard a noise out of the passenger speaker and the truck died. I checked all the fuses and none were blown. We towed the truck home and the carb is not getting gas. since it wasnt a fuse (we even checked the relays in the fuse box under the hood) we thought it was the fuel pump. We used wires to test the fuel pump w a battery and it worked, but it doesnt seem to work when turning the truck over to try to start it. We loosened the fuel line at the carb to see if it was getting gas, when cranking the truck it wasnt getting gas, but when we just ran the fuel pump direct it would get gas there? There is a relay on the drivers side under the hood mounted on the side wall that we didnt check but not sure what it could be. Any help would be appreciated. Feel free to ask more questions....
