welcome to Just Answer.

It could be a couple of different things, you need to get the code that is stored in the computer, you need a full scanner tool a code reader will not work. But here are somethings to check and test. Where there is blue lettering it will go to pics and diagrams but it will only open after you click ACCEPT.

Please let me know if you need more help.

Thanks you and good luck

Vehicle Application:
1998 Amigo 2.2
Customer Concern: 4 wheel drive indicator light keeps flashing.
Tests/Procedures: check the front different switch and operation of the front differential actuator and its control solenoids.
Tech Tips: sounds like it could be the 4x4 control unit is seeing the front differential to be locked in when it shouldn't be. could be a problem with the front differential actuator vacuum control solenoids that is keeping the front diff engaged , or possibly the front axle switch isn't going open even when the actuator isn't engaged.
Possible Causes:
4X4 Vacuum Control Solenoid
Defective Front Differential 4X4 Switch
MOTOR Component Locations
