ok, on the carb engine, the fuel pump was mechanical and on the engine. since this was changed out to a Fuel Injected engine, then it depends on the engine installer as to what type of fuel pump was used and where he located it.

It will either be in the fuel tank, requiring the fuel tank to be dropped, or inline. If in line, it will be mounted along the inner left frame, usually within 2 feet of the fuel tank.

You will need to look along the left inner frame for a pump inline of the fuel lines. If not found there, then it is in the tank.

sorry, cannot get real specific as one never knows how another engine installed does the set up when changing from carb engine to fuel injected.

Before i replace the fuel pump, is there any other way of finding out if it is the fuel pump or not ? i was driving the car, and the revs dropped, so i pulled the car over, and it wouldnt start again. I changed the fuel filter on the side of the road. Now the car wont start at all. How can a fuel pump bust while driving ??

they just die with know forewarning, usually due to overheating in the pump.

spray some starting fluid in the throttle body and try to start. if it starts and runs for few seconds, then you know it has spark and no fuel and is fuel pump
