are you there do you want more info on how to remove timing belt??

Customer:

Jason: Ok this is more work than I anticipated. There is a large knock in the front of the motor that goes away with increased RPM. At idle sounds like loose coke can in belt assembly. I thought it might be pump. Any ideas before I rip apart front of motor for no reason. Pump is not leaking. My thought was it might be the pump shaft.

JASON :

take the belts off one at a time till the noise is gone, if the noise is still present with belts removed the it is possible water pump or somthing else engine related.

JASON :

it goes away higher rpm?

Customer:

Excellent. That is what we will do. Also: I'm a computer tech with 20 years customer service. I thought about doing what you are doing. Pardon my asking but are you making what you thought you would? Yes at higher RPM.

JASON :
