2009 Suzuki: maintenace..I need to have the rear axle..leakage..ground

This answer was rated:

I have a 2009 Suzuki S x 4 with about 75,000.
I just had regularly scheduled maintenace and my mechanic said that I need to have the rear axle looked at by a dealer because it was wet /moist indicating some sort of leakage. At this point it is not dripping to ground.
What could this be and would it be likely covered by warranty?

Thanks for using JA

Your vehicle is out of warranty due to miles.

If there is no leak the dealer will not be able to pin point the source of the seep.

most axle seals and or rear covers seals will seep at around this mile. I don't think that you have a problem to worry about.
