Customer Question

When i hook the compressor directly to the tank it fills it 7 min. But when it runs through the valve body it won't fill it. the dryer seems to hold the pressure fine, but the air does'nt seem to be going through the valve body???

If the compressor was rebuilt due to internal failure, it may have scattered metal through the system and could be blocking the expansion valve. On most that we do now, we run a flush that circulates liquid refrigerant backwards through the system and through a series of filters to eliminate particles in the system. You may need to replace the valve block

Thanks The compressor did not scatter, no foreign material evident. Do you have any details on the valve block???

It's usually just replaced if it is questionable. You want to make sure the evaporator is not blocked, take the block off and see if there is flow through it. If the evaporator is OK then the block is likely jammed.
