Key in ignition switch is very hard to turn to start the car...worn

Resolved Question:

Key in ignition switch is very hard to turn to start the car. I know the tumblers are probably worn out. But replacement would cost a lot I think - which I can't afford. I read that if the tumblers are that worn, almost any key will start the engine.

Welcome to Justanswer

To replace the actual key tumbler its very inexpensive compared to other repairs 30 minutes and 50 bucks for the new one

I would get this done before the key tumbler falls completely apart making it unable to turn the car on or off
