I went through some big puddles with my Subaru outback, now there is a high pitched noise when I start accelerating, it goes away at about 30 mph. Will this go away or should I take it in?

It sounds like you just need a new belt. It probably got wet and slipped and now it is slipping more after that damage. I would take it in case there is a lot of damage to the belt. It is possible it could leave you stranded if it is not replaced. The good news is that it will not be very expensive.
