I have a 2003 Hyundai.
I've notice when starting a have to pump the gas peddle at least 5 to 6 times before it turns completely over.

Sounds lime it's flooding out does it run slightly rough when it starts?

No, once it starts its fine. Runs smooth.

Ok sounds like the throttle body has excess carbon. Just remove the airtube to the throttle body and clean the throttle plate and throttle body good with a wire brush or even an old tooth brush. A lot of times carbon will build up and not allow the throttle plate to operate correctly . This is the next step. Hoped this helped. Positive feedback and bonuses greatly appreciated.
