You can communicate with the ECM but no codes stored ? Has the intake gaskets and mass air flow sensor been checked ?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
no codes are stored and the air flow sensor was changed which seemed to cure it for a few days
Expert:  Tom replied 6 years ago.
Ok was this an aftermarket or factory air flow meter?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
as far as i am aware it was a genuine replacement

Ok need to have that mass checked and the wiring to the mass checked . These will cause this issue and not set an engine light . Unless the intake gaskets are cracked these need to be checked next. Also fuel pressure is ok?
