2001 seville sts: check engine light came..diagnostic..misfire

This answer was rated:

I just bought a 2001 seville sts, check engine light came on a week after purchase,I ran a diagnostic at Autozone. Catalyst efficiency low-bank....the oxygen sensors monitor the catalytic converters ability to store oxygen.probable cause...defective catalytic converter due to....engine misfire, large vacuum leak.engineoil leakage into exhaust-valve guide seals piston rings. The car has been running fine no smoke no misfire could sure use some help on this one.Thank you..Steve B.
Steve the first thing is be sure you have no exhaust leaks then if all seems good on the running and no leaks it can either be bad oxygen sensor or converter itself i would change the O2 sensor first
