Customer: replied 6 years ago.
i am trying to pull the front axle off of the transmission but it will not come off. is there something holding it on there so tight?
Expert:  Gary replied 6 years ago.
graphicthose axles are held in by internal snap rings.hit them with a hammer to release them.or a big pry bar wedged in between the transmission and the axle pop them out

im really trying to pry it off. the guys at autozone said i need to remove the clip from the end of the axle. i cant see a way off removing the clip since its inside the transmission assembly. do i need to just bang the shit of the axel so it will come away from the transmission
Expert:  Gary replied 6 years ago.
yes the shocking of hitting it will release the snapring internally
