2003 isuzu ascender: randomly..looses..wont shift..I have to jump it

This answer was rated:

my 2003 isuzu ascender randomly looses all power, won't shift and can't remove the keys. Fuses look ok but comes back after I pull a couple or I have to jump it. Battery is powered as I can get a spark. Any ideas?
Hello and thank you for using justanswer.

When this power loss occurs, can you still turn the headlights on?

Nothing works. No power at all and can't move shifter and can't remove key
Sounds like you either have a battery with an internal short, or there is a loose connection at the battery terminals or fuse block. Start by checking all connections at the battery and underhood fuse panel first. Make sure connections are clean and tight, then have the battery load tested. Some of the new technology battery testers do not place a load on the battery and will not show a problem. Load testing a battery will normally show any deficiencies in the battery.
