You could have a bad new pump or even a bad steering gear box. However, be sure to check for a restriction in the supply of fluid to the power steering pump, such as a plugged screen in the reservoir. THis is very common and will cause a no power steering condition just like you are describing.

of course i checked the lines and the filter screen.

the replacement pump is new.

I need some info on this model rodeo is

there somthing else I should be looking for

unique to model Rodeo, beside basic repair info.(kinked lines clean filter/screen,I am way pased the obvious stuff )

this model is equipped with a power steering pressure switch

in one of the lines.

What else should I be looking for.

If the gear box went bad all of a sudden, how come I am able to still drive it.

Thank you I am frustrated with my truck, not you!
