The Glove Box trim and Interior Trim surrounding the gear shift

This answer was rated:

How do I remove the Glove Box trim and Interior Trim surrounding the gear shift from wood tone to aluminum to match the balance of my car's interior?

My name is Dale.

If you would be so kind as to tell us what type of a vehicle, engine, trans, year model, etc. and maybe send some pictures of what procedure you are trying to accomplish , maybe one of our experts would be able to advise you of your options.

I have a 2008 Saab 9-3 convertible and am trying to remove the wood tone glove box trim to replace it with a brushed aluminum one. I know I have to drop the glove box to access a torque screw behind the lock but can't locate all of the other screws in order to do so. I have removed 3 of the screws but the box still doesn't drop and I can't find any more to remove. Any ideas?

I am not a Saab Technician but we do have a Saab Category so I am going to OPT-OUT of your question and request that it be sent over to a Saab Expert.

All the Best.

yep. I managed to get the glove box out, removed the old trim and installed the new one. But the push button doesn't activate the latch to open the glove box door.

&%$#@ !!!!!

Does the release move when hitting the button?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Ok sounds like the button has broke unfortunately . Does it feel loose.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
no, not that I can tell.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
there is a part beside that the button should attach to which would release the latch and I can't see where they attach to each other.
It's behind the glove box cover . Need to see if they came apart.

No problem will be here if you need more help.
