1998 Isuzu trooper: vent valve..code came back..The gas cap checks

Resolved Question:

My 1998 Isuzu trooper is throwing the code po440 EVAP. I have had the vent valve replaced and the code came back again. The gas cap checks out fine. One forum suggested cleaning the EGR valve. Could this be the case or do I need to look elsewhere?
