VerifiedThis is actually a fairly common problem with GM vehicles. You are going to need to replace the Blower Motor Resistor. This resistor is located under the passenger's side dash, mounted to the HVAC housing, near the blower motor.
- Remove the right side instrument panel insulator.
Attachments are only available to registered users.
Register Here - Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor resistor/relay.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
Loosen both of the forward mounting screws. Do not remove the forward mounting screws. The blower motor resistor/relay opening is slotted because the access is extremely limited.
- Remove the rearward mounting screw.
