Hello JACUSTOMER, is the check engine light on in the vehicle? Will the engine start right back up and run for a while? When the engine dies does it sputter or just cut off?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.

The check engine light does not come on.

Yes, it starts right back up and runs.

Each of the 3 times it has done this were at stop lights. Everything continues running, but engine does not respond to pressing the accelerator.

Okay. If the vehicle only does this when coming to a stop then start by cleaning out the throttle body. You can remove the air intake tube from the engine and spray this out with throttle body cleaner. Then wipe it out with a cloth. Once it is clean this should solve the problem.
