Can you tell me what Year Make and Model the vehicle is you are hooking up the trailer to?

Matt, It is a 2004 silverado pick up. The trailer is already hooked up. I just can't get the running lights to work. They worked fine until I noticed the brown wire to the light was disconnected. I replaced the old lights with new ones. I still have the same issue. The runnning lights and marker lights do not work, but the brake and blinkers do.
Auto Mechanic: Matt J, ASE Certified Technician replied 8 years ago

Your problem may not be with the trailer lights. The Silverado has trailer fuses one for each of the wires.

Go to the fuse block under the hood and locate TRL PARK 15 amp fuse and see if it is blown.

If it is not let me know and we will keep going.
