Is this the aftermarket protective film like Clear Mask or Surface Armour?

This clear coating is like tape or a self adhesive decal. Any good detail shop can remove it. I would suggest taking it to a place that installs the stuff, they would be experts.

Usually just a little heat and a slow pull will get the stuff off the car. Then a mild soap and water solution will get the glue off. Don't use detergent.

There are some chemicals made by 3M that will work to remove this, but I wouldn't use them on an Aston Martin.
