First you will have to remove the top engine cover to get access to the coils and ignition wires. Remove the coils and wires from the spark plugs, use an extension with spark plug socket down in the head to get the spark plugs out.


CAUTION: Disconnecting the ignition coil and plug cap can tear the plug cap off and cause damage to the connecting part. Disconnect the ignition coil and plug cap only when each component needs to be replaced, and be careful not to tear and damage them.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  1. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
  2. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Gap 1.0-1.1 mm (0.040-0.043 in.)
