2000 montero sport: you replace one cat..pipe

when you replace one cat in our 2000 montero sport...doesn't the other get replaced also...they're on the same pipe right?

Did you have the front pipe replaced?

Customer: replied 7 years ago. pipes have been replaced...I just noticed that two pipes come out of each manifold..and then join after the when you replace one cat the other must have to be replaced because there doesn't seem to be a way to just replace one alone.

According to the diagram you have 2 front converters and 1 rear converters, normally the front ones are called pre converters but not this one. The left and right have different part #s. Let me know if I can help further,
