Hi,

The thermostat is located on the end of the cylinder block just above the transmission bellhousing. It is hidden be the exhaust cross over pipe and air cleaner assembly.

I need to know exactly how to replace just the thermostat
Expert:  Eric replied 7 years ago.

Hi,

The directions i provided you are to replace the thermostat. You need to remove the air cleaner assembly, the exhaust cross-over pipe, and the thermostat housing to replace the thermostat.

that is why I gave you the those directions. Labor time is 1.8hrs to replace JUST the thermostat in your engine, the reason is because you HAVE to REMOVE the parts I have mentioned.
