Safari van: After about 10 minutes..heater

This answer was rated:

After about 10 minutes my Safari van heater no longer throws any heat. What are possible causes? Ron
This could be caused by a heater core that is clogging up. Run the truck untill the heat stops blowing hot and check the heater hoses that are going in to the firewall. Touch them to see if they are hot. They should be hot and not warm, if they are warm or cold, then there is no flow thru the core. You can remove the heater hoses and try and flush it out with a garden hose. try flushing in both directions to loosen up any cloggs. If you can not get any water to flow rapidly thru the core, it may need to be replaced.
