led to illuminate when a circuit is off and to turn..toggle switch

Is it possible to wire an led to illuminate when a circuit is off and to turn off when the circuit is on all through a toggle switch
Welcome. It is possible and the easiest way I can think of is a single pole double throw switch. Basically this has 3 contacts. One set is closed at one time and then the other when the switch is in the other position. How I would do this is put power to the common terminal, then on one side the indicator LED and the other the device you wish to control so if the device is on, the LED is off.
