Car 1994 Chevy Camaro 3.4L V6 automatic trans Issue Wont

Resolved Question:

Car: 1994 Chevy Camaro 3.4L V6 automatic trans
Issue: Won't start
A few days ago, the car was driven about 7 miles to work, and after the shift, wouldn't start. There was no crank, but power was getting to the lights and all accessories. First thought was starter; it was replaced with a brand new one, and both the old and new one tested good. Tested battery with a load, got 12.6V reading, good. Double checked all cabling, fuses, and relays. Replaced neutral safety switch with a brand new part, no change. Replaced starter relay, no change. My last idea is the ignition switch. Ideas?

Yea it is probably in your ignition switch. If you have security turn the key to the on position and see if the security light stays on. If so then it is definate that it is in the key switch.

Hope this helps....

The security light blinks, has been blinking since we disconnected the battery, so I assumed that was the cause.

Ok. Try this. Turn the key to crank position like you are trying to start it, then let off and leave it in the on position for 10 minutes. when the security light quits flashing and goes out turn the key off and then turn it to try and start it again. If it doesn't start repeat the 10 min again. It will sometimes take up to 3 times to reset the security.
