Olds Aurora: v8..Fuel pump..fuel pressure regulator

Resolved Question:

Hi: My 03 Olds Aurora (4.0 v8): the engine just
shuts off, not very often, once or twice a week.
It does take cycling the ignition once or twice to get it to restart. Fuel pump, crankshaft position sensor, fuel pressure regulator ??????? Would apreciate an opinion Thanks,

Hi rgh19710,

I'm aiming at the fuel pump by your description of cycling the key like that. A fuel pressure and volume test probably won't reveal this problem, but this test in this PIC will, it's bullet proof for diagnosing flat spots on the pump armature.

Thanks for you question and positive feedback,
