Mitsubishi Montero: the air con serviced but left it over the winter

Customer Question

Please can you help? We have a propblem with our Mitsubishi Montero DID. It started at the end of last summer when we have the air con on, so we thought we should get the air con serviced but left it over the winter. We had no problems during the winter but in the last few weeks since the temperature has risen it has returned. When the car engine has reached its normal temperature and we are in a low gear going up a steep hill having to change from 2nd to 3rd gear and increasing the revs, the car starts to judder and lose power, if you stop the car the engine sounds as if it is misfiring. When we went out yesterday the problem occured just before we reached outr destination, but on the return later in the evening when the outside air temperature was less the problem did not happen. We have taken the car to a garage and put it on a diagnostic machine but nothing has come up. We have also put fuel injector cleaner in with the deisel fuel so far we still have the problem.

i' having the A/C serviced was a wise choice, but now a drive-ability problem exixts, and you will need to have tune up work performmed

this does not seem to answer our question as we have taken to a garage and had a full service and they are unable to find anything wrong. Please can someone else help
